Peace pipes are one of the artifacts used by native indians and smoked on special occasions. A peace pipe served both in the native Indian religious and political practices including in intertribal meetings and treaties.
Medicine men also use these in healing ceremonies to drive away trouble and danger. Pipe styles vary. Mostly, pipes have been created using bones, clay, wood and other assorted stone materials.
