HANDCRAFTED PAINTED INDIAN ARROW
This is a Navajo hand crafted arrow with a carved bone arrowhead. Each arrow is hand painted with a different design along the entire shaft. It includes a Certificate of Authenticity by the artist.
Warriors gained status not only by success in battle but in their skill in crafting weapons. Indian boys lived for the day they would be allowed to prove their heart on the war path. They learned that turkey or buzzard feathers made better arrow fletching than hawk or Eagle feathers because they were much more durable.
